How is everyone dealing with the £85K limit for FSCS. General investments, ISA and SIPP’s can exceed this limit easily. How comfortable exceeding the limit for the likes of Investengine ?

I believe your invested funds are ringfenced from InvestEngine funds - so a bankruptcy of InvestEngine should not impact any invested funds in terms of value - I’d 'imagine there may be a few days where you may not be able to access your account whilst things are transferred to new providers or a takeover organised.

So in that sense a £85k protection doesn’t bother me for non cash ISA’s, SIPPS, GIA etc. But I don’t hold all my investments with one platform - in case of any issue (hacking/insolvency etc) that may impede access when needed.
