I understand that there are quite a few delays at the moment owing to the number of people leaving Vanguard. How far past the estimated date should I leave it before chasing ? ---

Any bank / public holidays would extend this time - Christmas/Easter etc. But … there’s also the word “typically” - which is an easy cop out for when it takes longer… In general I’d give it the 30 days = 6 weeks, slap a few days on top of that for any delays for reasons unknown and would ask for an update after 7 weeks. There’s no point in asking within the 6 week period, methinks, as any CS would say to allow 30 working days as that’s what stated on the website. ---

Hello there! Indeed, at the moment, due to the high volume on requests of SIPP & ISA Transfers from Vanguard, the advised waiting time for the transfers has increased. For ISA/SIPP transfers we have an estimated waiting time of 8 weeks, in some cases it could take more. We recommend checking with Vanguard also to see if this helps speed up the process.
