How is IE been when cashing out for people, do they give you your money back , im thinking in terms of if after 10 years you want to cash out then you find out they wont pay out or play around for ages??
Seems a strangely worded question. I sold assets and withdraw the cash from a GIA earlier this year with no issues. Takes a few days for asset sales to settle.
Yeah I also sold down assets to get a deposit together for a house and it was no trouble.
Similar to the above. I had a house deposit sat in a money market fund and sold and withdrew with no trouble at all. What makes you think they wouldn’t pay out? The funds aren’t stored directly by IE I don’t think and you’re protected up to £85k anyway.
Of course you get your money if you request a withdrawal. It’s your money!
Try it mate; I did. Yeah, i whacked a five figure sum into a money market fund for 3 months and withdrew it no problem whatsoever. Not that I thought there would be!
Maybe stay under the £85k protected amount; as in the next financial crisis there will be investor ‘bail-ins’ rather than government ‘bail-outs’ over this amount.
