How does IE define "Industrial"

Hi,

I was looking through the analytics of the global, US, and emerging markets ETFs on the platform and all of them have “industrial” as the largest sector.

On any other platform or the ETF provider’s webpage, tech will be the largest sector.

I am just wondering what IE’s definition of industrial is and whether it needs updating? I think people would be surprised that the largest sector in the S&P 500 is industrial on IE.

Yeah I’ve noticed this too. Does seem odd IE seems to categories companies differently. I think it might be partly down to classifying any manufacturer of parts (technological or otherwise) as industry. But that’s only my guess ams I agree it’s wrong and misleading
