We should include the typical or recent bid/ask spread as part of an ETFs information.
Dancing around and buying in and out of ETFs has a cost that I think it would be nice to be aware of.
It would discourage or at least inform investors of this cost. I was looking at switching to a cheaper index tracking ETF but actually would be quite costly. I imagine it would be worse for those who may want to dabble in ETFs that track very niche themes.
