Thoughts on transferring a £60K SIPP from Dodl to Vanguard and then immediately over to InvestEngine? Do I? Don’t I?
The process could be lengthy and IE could introduce transfers from other providers during that time but may also not. When phased in SIPP transfers from other providers becomes available on IE, Dodl may not even be included on the list. This of course is all out of my control.
What is in my control is the ability to now transfer to IE via Vanguard. I’d at least feel like progress is being made as opposed to just hopelessly waiting for some positive news to come out of IE.
Well, considering I still haven’t heard anything from Vanguard that my in-specie SIPP transfer to IE has even reached them yet (kicked off before Xmas) I wouldn’t be in too much of hurry.
Mainly the uncapped 0.15% SIPP account fee. Other than that, it’s generally okay. It has served me well, utilising the HSBC FTSE All World fund. The lure of zero account fees and greater investment choice on IE is appealing. That said, if there was no account fee on Dodl, I’d probably keep my SIPP where it is.
Dodl is already an option when transferring a S&S ISA so highly likely it will be on the list for SIPP transfers as well. It’s also highly likely it will still work if you select AJ Bell so I think you’ll be fine.
I plan to do the same and transfer from Dodl when available.
