ETF Search - Filters Suggestions

Hi there, I would like to suggest few improvements to the ETF search application, 7 in total.
Mostly to add more filters:

1. Fund Domicile

  • France
  • Netherlands
  • Ireland
  • Jersey
  • Luxembourg

2. Fund currency
Not to be confused with Unhedged/GBP Hedged. e.g. “HSBC FTSE 100 UCITS ETF - Ticker HUKX” the fund currency is GBP but it is not “Hedged”.

  • EUR
  • CHF
  • HKD
  • GBP
  • USD

3. Fund Provider Name

  • Vanguard Group
  • HANetf
  • iShares by BlackRock
  • SPDR® by State Street Global Advisors (SSGA)
  • VanEck
  • Invesco
  • WisdomTree Investments
  • L&G (Legal & General)
  • Amundi
  • Rize
  • Leverage Shares
  • Franklin Templeton Investment
  • Global X ETFs by Mirae Asset Global Investments
  • Lyxor by Amundi
  • First Trust Global Portfolios Management
  • FlexShares by Northern Trust
  • Xtrackers by DWS Group
  • PIMCO
  • UBS
  • JPMorgan
  • Market Access by China Post Global
  • KraneShares
  • HSBC

4. Replication

  • Physical (Full replication)
  • Physical (Optimized sampling)
  • Synthetic (Swap-based)
  • Synthetic (Unfunded swap)
  • Physical (Sampling)
  • Physical (Physically backed)

5. Hedged/Unhedged
At the moment you can choose only between Unhedged and GBP Hedged. There is no way to select EUR Hedged

e.g. “iShares MSCI Japan SRI EUR Hedged - Ticker SUJS” it,s EUR Hedged, but you claim to be GBP Hedged:

6. Legal structure

  • ETF
  • ETC

7. Fund Size
This is not a filter, but just an additional information to show. e.g.:

8. Bonus
Please add more ETFs! Way more

Wowza - Loving this @RaAl

Quickly scanning through your list, I can say we’re already working on no. 3. (More ETFs are definitely in the pipeline too)

I’ll be sure to discuss the all other suggestions internally too. One thing we are aware of is keeping the right balance & not overwhelming less experienced investors with too much on the UI. But really loving these suggestions. I will try and feedback some more on the points above in time.

As an interim measure why don’t you visit justetf.com for lots options and filters.

I do already use justetf.com, but then I don’t know which ETF is available in IE which is annoying.

Perhaps it’s a case of not overloading the site/app so as it stays relatively quick and easy. Just a thought.

@RaAl – Told you we had something planned on the Provider filters!!
