Feature Request: Import/Export ETFs between portfolios (like Trading 212)

Hi everyone,

Currently, you cannot move ETF’s directly between portfolios on InvestEngine. You have to sell the asset, wait two days for cash settlement, move the money, and buy the ETF again.

This process has downsides:

  • Market Risk: Money sits as cash for days, risking missing out on market growth.
  • Extra Costs: You lose money to the buy/sell price spread.
  • Tax Issues: Selling outside of an ISA triggers a Capital Gains Tax event.

Other platforms (like Trading 212) have an “import/export” tool to move investments between portfolios instantly without selling.

Is this feature on the InvestEngine roadmap? I would love to see an internal asset transfer option added.
