Feature request - Valuation reports for non-taxable holdings

The Invest Engine website allows me to generate really nice full valuation reports for my taxable holdings (i.e. those held in GIA accounts). Here’s a screenshot of the column headings provided.

However, the same isn’t possible for my ISA holdings. I guess this also applies to the Invest Engine SIPP (which I don’t have have). Why is this the case? The valuation report provides really great information, and I see no reason for it to not be available for all holdings. Please can you enable this? Thanks.

Fine, but I’m a bit confused as to why you replied to my feature request with this. Is this relevant to the feature request? It doesn’t impact my desire for the feature, and I don’t see that it would affect the feature either. I’m just looking to get a report on the investments currently in my ISA.

Sorrry, my error I had 2 windows open and meant to post this to this thread - Should you maximise your pension contributions ahead of the UK Budget? - #2 by LoveToInvest

I’ve now deleted from here

Hi Bob79

Thanks so much for your feedback - we love to hear about what’s working and not working for our customers.

I’ve passed this comment on to the team to have a look at.

This used to be possible for ISA holdings and I’ve used the feature multiple times in the past but am now I’m getting the error:

Report can’t be generated
You held no taxable portfolios during this reporting period

This is when attempting to generate a valuation statement for “All ISA Portfolios”.

I raised it with InvestEngine support yesterday who after a little back and forth said:

Your query was escalated to the Development Team who will conduct an investigation and do their best to remedy the issue as soon as possible.

From my perspective this is clearly a regression/bug in functionality. Lets see how long it takes to fix.

This report failed (for me) on 10 September and, as you can see, still has not been fixed.

This is yet another issue where the Development Team seem totally incompetent. As ever, IE are great at announcing future plans (or in this case announcing that previously worked, which they broke, will be fixed) but failing to actually deliver.

It is all very frustrating. All we get is a meaningless (but well-intentioned and very polite) word-salad from the support team.

Good morning, we’re sorry to hear you’re not able to download your valuation report for your ISA. Please email support@investengine.com, so our team can look into this further.

Hi there, we’re sorry to hear about your experience and hope we can help further. If you’re having problems generating valuation reports for your ISA or any other issue, please email support@investengine.com and they’d be happy to assist you. Our client’s feedback is important to us.

Hi there. I see little point in sending an email to support because they refuse to sort out the problem.

I reported the issue on 11 Sep after nothing was done, I requested an update on 16 Sep and 25 Sep. I have just checked and over 7 weeks after I reported the issue it has still not been fixed.

I should state that Paul did reply to me for each email but all he stated was: “Please be informed that our Development team is still working on fixing the issue. Meanwhile, you should be able to download a full client valuation report.” Obviously it has not been fixed and, it appears, I am not the only person affected.

Why should I have to keep emailing support, they should be continually updating me. If Paul (or anyone else from support) would like to give me continual updates then I would be grateful. However, if all they are going to say is “Please be informed that our Development team is still working on fixing the issue.” then clearly Paul has nothing useful to say.

I repeat my original point (in my email). All that needed to happen on 11 Sep was to roll-back the website updates to that which existed on 9 Sep. Obviously there is other complications but clearly the development team are not interested in sorting it out. So what is the point in me again emailing support?

Hi! I understand your frustration, and I want to assure you that our Development Team is actively working on resolving this matter.

In the meantime, as a workaround, please try manually entering the report dates instead of selecting a preset range, and exclude the current date from your range. This may allow you to generate the report while we continue to address the underlying issue.

I appreciate your feedback and will ensure that your concerns are conveyed to the team for better communication moving forward.

Ignoring the other issue that selecting individual dates is almost impossible (because you cannot type the year that you require), I have selected 25/10/24 to 01/11/24 and that does not work. So what dates should I select which your development team have proved works?

The workaround is rather hit and miss. However, I have been able to generate a valuation report for “All ISA Portfolios” using the manually entered date range 1/10/2024 to 31/10/2024.

I got the “You held no taxable portfolios during this reporting period” error if I selected 1/11/2024 to 2/11/2024, for example.

Thanks for that.
In case it helps the development team I have found the following (for Valuation Reports) dated today (2 Nov).
1 Oct - 31 Oct, all portfolios - works
Last month, all portfolios - does not generate
2 Oct - 1 Nov, all portfolios - works
3 Oct - 2 Nov, all portfolios - does not generate
2 Oct - 2 Oct, all portfolios - does not generate
Unfortunately it is always today’s valuation that I want. Historical reports are not helpful to me.
