Anybody else watching their inbox daily, waiting for the IE SIPP invite? :joy:

Has there been an indication of how long the 20% Govt Bonus will take to be added onto the SIPPs? e.g. monthly deadlines, etc.

Just asking as my provider says i need to request a pack to transfer otherwise so will do if not! (i think this is why people hate pensions & finance (not a IE thing) - its faffy)

Hey! Yeah we understand that.
We’re currently exploring the use of Origo Options for electronic pension transfers. Unfortunately, we do not have a specific date yet, we anticipate providing more comprehensive details in the upcoming weeks.

Is the plan still to launch SIPP this week?

Hi! We will be releasing these details shortly. Keep an eye on our platform here and social media channels for the latest updates and announcements.

When you say shortly…

@tom.winterton - you announced here - SIPP accounts will go live in the week commencing January 8, 2024 - initially for clients who have preregistered.

Today is Thursday 11th.
Typically things are announced in the working week - so tomorrow - Friday 12th would be last day.
Is this on track or should I find somewhere else to open my SIPP.

Best keeping your eyes on your inbox then @JHBEM!

Did you receive an email? I pre-registered and have not received anything yet.

Nope. It just appeared. It might be a mistake from their end actually judging by what happened next.

I clicked the transfer pension in option, to be told it’s not supported yet and to contact support, which I did - and who told me that they haven’t launched SIPPs yet.

Are you actually emailing?

My wife had no email but does have the option to open a SIPP in the app.

I’ve had no email and don’t have the open SIPP option.

Are there plans to add any new ETF’s to the IE ETF range to be made available for the SIPP?

It let me open it.

Although its says ‘free until 2024’ when you click the link - and it obviously is 2024.

@tom.winterton
Please confirm it says free to 2024.
This is surely meant to say Free until 2025, preferably free until 5th April 2025 (ie one full tax year).

I did not receive an email.
I was able to open the account.
I have assumed that the “Free until 2024” is an error and meant to say 2025.

Not been able to invest money or transfer yet so can’t say if it’s fully working.

Hi all – Thanks for following this closely just to give you an update on a couple of bits above.

We’ve enabled the feature for everyone on the waitlist for whom we had an associated InvestEngine account. The intention was to email everyone yesterday but a minor issue was spotted with app versions (if you’re on an older version of the app you’ll be prompted to update). The email will go out later this morning.

re the ‘free until 2024’ wording. This has now been removed. The original intention was to get SIPPs live back in autumn last year and we were still working through some of the details. Fee’s will accrue from day 1 but hopefully you’ll apricate that at 0.15% (with an cap) this possibly the lowest cost SIPP out there and we’ve done all we can to keep it as low as we can.

@JHBEM – Please let our support know if you have any issues with transfers/investing today. These should all be fully working, although you may need to restart your app.

The option was not there for me on the app, but was able to open on the website.

I registered interest the first day it was announced, but have neither had an email, nor can see the option to set up a SIPP on the app?

Edit: I too found the option to register on the website
