DIY or Managed?

I currently only have a DIY InvestEngine portfolio and wanted to get an idea of whether I should also think about opening a Managed portfolio… Looking for some advice on what others are currently working with?

I’ve gone for a managed portfolio as a novice investor and also a hands-off approach and low fees.

Thank you for your help @Derodra, I’m quite new to the investing world too so just trying to find my feet. I think I will open a managed portfolio too and see how they compare!

Hi, I started with both. I put more £ into the managed and a smaller amount into the DIY while I learn. Does anyone else think this is a good starting position ?

Hey Colin, I think that’s a great approach. InvestEngine’s experts can keep an eye on your Managed whilst you can learn a bit more about investing and ETFs with DIY. It worked well for me :slightly_smiling_face:
