So we can’t transfer our ISA out-specie? That’s not very good is it. I didn’t realise that.
Nope it’s apparently been in development since 2023. It’s a fundamental feature that most competitors platforms have.
I hope I’m wrong but it doesn’t seem like it’ll happen anytime soon, which means we are locked into this platform for the foreseeable future.
I have to admit, that although I really like the IE platform, and much prefer it to T212 for usability, there does seem to be issues with getting services that do seem present on other platforms, up and running on IE
Having read a number of threads about pension transfers in particular, it always seems to be " our highest priority, and we think within the next year" … but that was 2-3 years ago and you still can’t ( unless you have a Vanguard pension ) and that only appeared when Vanguard ramped platform fees a few months ago.
I presume you can sell down and transfer the ISA to a different provider?
Hi there, you’re right — in-specie transfers out aren’t currently supported. We’ll keep you posted if anything changes. Thanks for sticking with us!
I have a new ISA but I’ll invest elsewhere until ii get their act together on this. I like this platform but I don’t want to be locked in. Being forced to liquidate your holdings to transfer out is unforgivable and makes Invest Engine look either unprofessional or scared of losing customers. But it also stops people like me wanting to contribute. If I’d known before I signed up I wouldn’t have bothered.
Very Bad, Trading212 has Free platform and free Dealing Fees, and it allows Far More Trading Features like live market price, buy when you want. InvestEngine have locked us in to their platform
