Why is the option to create a new managed ISA not available, this has been going on for sometime, very unprofessional by Investengine, why is it taking so long, the new tax year is here
Hi @pmatty77, just a quick heads-up – we’re currently making updates to our Managed and LifePlan portfolios, so they’re temporarily unavailable. Once the updates are complete, we will notify our clients.
Appreciate your patience, and stay tuned!
Though I would have preferred to invest this year again with Investengine, unfortunately due to the time this is taking I have lost a bit of faith and have gone elsewhere
I’ve just opened a stocks and shares ISA and built my own portfolio, but wanted to use a lifeplan one. Considering they were only launched late last year, this doesn’t give me much faith in the platform.
Morning
Could you please advise what kind of changes / updates you are making to these LifePlan portfolios? Everything is run by ETF’s which are self-balancing when it comes to holdings and regions and suchlike so it shouldn’t really take much time at all.
The only thing needing to be looked at would be the allocation each ETF takes up in these LifePlans, methinks - and for that you’re going to already have a plan in place from when you started these Plans.
Regardless of whether your allocations are set as fixed % or in ranges - this is the only thing needing to be tweaked. And that really shouldn’t take that long to do, methinks.
As for the " improvements to our portfolio building questionnaire" when it comes to Managed Portfolios - it’s the same thing here regarding ETF’s and allocations.
You have the current questionnaire and “somewhere” will be versions lying around for when TSHTF (Russia/Ukraine/China/Donald/another escaped virus, some rogue rockets flying etc.) as well as when the promised sunny uplands finally come around and friendly aliens come knocking bearing gifts.
And if such versions don’t exist within IE then what is your risk department actually doing?
I’m not aware of any other provider stopping LifePlans or whatever they’re called elsewhere - so, why is IE doing it?
