Firstly, thank you for taking this step! I think the only way the public can “win” is by taking steps to reach out to others about these malpractices. We take it lying down too often and these businesses can just toy with us knowing there are no consequences.
It feels almost criminal that they want to lock you in and not allow in-specie transfer outs. I came here following this thread: In specie transfer out - #71 by Don and there you can find almost bot like responses from IE team and potential lies such as this. It’s almost clear they are ill-intentioned.
Already see folks spreading this in other forums, hopefully sets up a precedence for others to not treat the customers as gullible fools.
Do let us know what happens though, many will be following this.
