I am sending money to my portfolios through standing orders though for some reason it’s taking 2 days before purchases take place when the website states “We aim to invest your money on the next working day after it arrives.”
My latest was:
- Standing order being sent by my bank on 6th October at 2am and received by Invest Engine a few minutes later
yet the order (on Autoinvest) has only just gone through today 8th October in the afternoon.
One of them is not even showing an order at all.
This happened last month too. When I queried it last month I was told it was normal so I’m confused as it doesn’t tally with what their website says.
I must be missing something but why is there a holdup and orders not being placed on 7th October?

Mine is the same. I guess monies received have to be ‘settled’ first before the orders are placed. Just because the money has left your account doesn’t mean it is fully settled - banks are a lot slower than most people think!
I used to have my SO setup to go on Friday and orders wouldn’t be placed until Monday so I just brought it forward a day so today I transferred my SO and the order will be placed tomorrow.
It’s so weird because I don’t have any of these issues with Trading 212.
I can see the money arrived within minutes of it being sent on Monday, but it’s now Thursday and still no order placed with autoinvest on. It doesn’t fill me with much confidence.
Ah that is weird, mine is always the day after so depositing on Monday and not orders until Thursday doesn’t seem right…

Yes it’s odd. I’ve sent them an email but not yet heard back.
Edit: Ive now noticed one has been sitting there since 22nd September and nothing has happened/not invested! (And autoinvest is on)
