When setting up portfolio, it seems that Vanguard UK gilts is not recognised as a bond etf and is categorised under ‘alternatives’. Am I missing something?

What etf did you buy? The bonds I have are categorised as bonds but I don’t have gilts
It was the Vanguard uk gilts , and doesn’t seem to be categorised as bonds. I was thinking of transfering my ISA from Vanguard and checking if IE has all the etf I currently hold before making the transfer when I noticed that the gilts were under the alternative catergory.

I don’t think it matters. It’s likely just a quirk of IE
