Infuriatingly slow lock screen on app?

Hi there,

I love the IE experience so far, and think the app is great. It’s clean, efficient, and focused…and generally very fast.

Except the lock/PIN screen . Has anyone else noticed this?

Sometimes the unlock screen on Android is INFURIATINGLY SLOW. Sometimes while entering my PIN it literally just doesn’t respond for 10s of seconds at a time between digits. Number buttons get depressed (go grey) and the PIN bubbles don’t fill in. Lags like hell. The whole app freezes etc.

I know what’s likely happening here is some sort of key derivation / hashing behind the scenes… but it’s total overkill. This is a 4 digit PIN. It’ll never be secure in software.

I’ve had no choice but to disable two factor auth.

If you can’t fix this please let us use Authy/standard TOTP two factor auth.
