I was wondering about top up delays - it seems that a direct debit can take quite a while to actually get into the account, yet a manual top-up can be very fast
Is there a any reason for this?
Should I use the manual top-up instead?

Good morning Robert,
Your direct debit will appear in your account two working days after it has been deducted from your bank. You can also do a manual bank transfer which can take up to 1 working day or you can make an instant payment from your linked bank account.

Not sure if you are interested I do a weekly standing order every Monday, its in my account and ready to use next day every week without fail. Tried the same earlier this year with Freetrade and they took over a week to credit my account.
Really impressed with IE processing for my Standing Order.
