We’ve recently seen an increase in fake accounts on our Community forum pretending to be InvestEngine staff, support agents, or administrators.
Please be aware:
- All legitimate InvestEngine team members have “Team InvestEngine!” displayed next to their username.
- Official team profiles also display the InvestEngine logo in their profile image. (as seen below)
If a user does not have these identifiers, they are not an official InvestEngine representative.
What scammers are doing
Some fake accounts are:

Claiming to be InvestEngine support or administrators

Sending private messages to members

Asking users to contact external websites or third-party “support” services

Requesting personal, financial, or account information
For example, we’ve seen messages directing users to unrelated websites and claiming that a support ticket has been created. These websites are not affiliated with InvestEngine.
What InvestEngine will never do
Ask you to contact support through third-party websites.
Request passwords, security codes, recovery phrases, or other sensitive information via private message.
Direct you to unofficial support channels.
If you’re unsure
If you receive a suspicious private message:

Do not click any links.

Do not share any personal or account information.

Check whether the sender has the “Team InvestEngine!” badge and InvestEngine logo.

Report the message to our moderation team.

The InvestEngine Team
