URGENT: £6k missing for 10 days and formal complaint ignored

Good afternoon,

I’m posting this as both a warning to others and in the hope that someone at InvestEngine will finally help resolve this situation.

On 1st May, I requested a withdrawal of £6,035 from my business InvestEngine account to my nominated bank account. I immediately realised the nominated account details were outdated and the account had been closed, so I contacted support straight away. I was subsequently assured that the withdrawal would be cancelled.

Despite this assurance, the funds still left my InvestEngine account on 5th May.

It has now been 10 days of repeatedly requesting updates, and the money remains unaccounted for. I have received no confirmation that InvestEngine is actively tracing the funds, and my recent emails have gone unanswered. I also submitted a formal complaint 5 days ago and have yet to receive a response.

Today, I contacted the Financial Ombudsman Service for advice, although I still hope someone at InvestEngine will contact me directly with an explanation and a clear update on the status of my funds.

good luck getting a response. I don’t know how these guys sleep at night given they take a week to respond to basic queries

Not really the fault of InvestEngine…

I am involved in tracing and getting back an transaction from Cynergy bank who i wish i never got involved with. The full reclaim process takes up to 20 working days if the receiving bank agrees to return it; which they should.
