Cannot log in into app

I cannot log into app or account.

Can someone please help.

Sent an email but no response.

Hi … its 23rd Jan 2026 and I cannot log in to my account also ..it seems its happening a lot to people on here … just asks for my email and password then will not let me … it then says to authorise it in the app on my phone but I cannot get into the app to authorise it … then asks for a pass phrase which I have no idea about and then kicks me off everything …

Can someone help ..

It happened to me a couple of weeks ago (on a Thursday) and it got resolved on the following Monday. The same issue as you are having and IE will need to disable your 2FA before you are able to log in again.

It seemed to me that the weekend support does not have the same access as the weekday support to correct the issue.

The phrase you mention is app generated and once you have access, my advice would be to save it for when you will next need it.

Thanks for replying …. It seems to be a common theme ..

Today we just do not have to put up with this , I have 212 as well and you get help there straight away …

I am looking to move my portfolio as there are a few issues here, self balancing a massive one , no access which I am suffering , its a bit dated for a company these days and I will find a better one .

Yes, I have heard a few people are not happy with IE. The other issue is that if you want to move to someone else, you need to sell all holdings and rebuy in the new platform, which is a pain.

Surely you can move your portfolio over to another supplier ..?

Yes you can, but you need to sell it all first and then reinvest the cash on the new platform, once you have transferred it in.

That’s a problem …. Will look into other sites as I am sure its the same … definitely influence my decision making now …cheers

You can transfer S&S ISA in specie to 212. It might take a while. 212 however does not provide SIPPs. Not sure about other SIPP providers. The IE website has been problematic for me last week as I could not get to the log in page. The IE app however has been perfect, so it might be affecting some people. =/

Being a free user, I’m happy enough with IE right now. My loyalties might be challenged if I get the same problems and 212 decides to offer SIPPs. :stuck_out_tongue:
